Peonies early in June a few days before harvest

Depending on the season, we begin the harvest with early varieties about the middle of May and we finish up with the latest varieties very late in June. Keep in mind that harvest dates can vary a week or more from year to year depending on the season.

We ship our peonies in heavy, double sided boxes each with 100 stems packaged in 5 stem bunches, 20 bunches per box. We keep plenty of leaves on the stems and we pack carefully to protect the buds and maintain freshness.

We have adopted cultural practices that foster optimal growing conditions and insure excellent soil structure and organic matter levels. This encourages the most healthy root development, which is necessary to have the strongest plants with the highest quality flowers. We space plants widely and keep weeds under control at all times. All our fields have trickle irrigation. We have first class refrigeration facilities designed to maintain high humidity to avoid dehydration.
